    remade parts

I bought some parts from Adrian they all fitted correctly. I had a problem fitting the rubbers the led leading link so I spoke to him. There was nothing wrong with them but I was not competent to fit them. No problem he said just let me have them and I will fit them for you. He was as good as his word. I would recommend him to everyone. We need chaps like him in our club.

Couldn't agree more, Mike. Adrian is the very essence of what the GRA should be all about. Only sorry that I didn't spot the content of this thread earlier, or I would have chipped in and put that very point.

        2T Crank overhaul

I endorse the comments re the parts supplied by Adrian. The bits I had from him, are 1st quality, and fitted with no problems.Great service,if I may say so!.
I have a query, which, hopefully some knowledgeable person may be able to help me with?.
        I have a spare 2T bottom end here in NZ,which I wish to rebuild/overhaul,to have available to use,when necessary,on my restored 25DB.
I wish to strip the crank assembly, and replace seals, bearings, crankpins etc, and would appreciate any advice on the procedure,to accomplish this task succesfully.
Shipping the unit to a specialist in the UK,is a costly option, with concerns over damage, loss, etc, and I would prefer to do the work here.We have access to an effective, well equpped, machine shop, with 50 tonne press, large Lathe, etc, etc, and a conscientious, meticulous auto engineer.I intend importing the necessary replacement items, from the UK, but would greatly appreciate any guidance, from members who have tackled this operation themselves.I hope someone can help.

          2T rebuild

One of the joys of being in NZ Les!!
Obviously its within your capabillity to do the work yourself but I think you will have to source the spares in the UK from either Villiers Services or Simon Bateman. Sorry I cant help with advice on stripping/rebuilding a crank.
