My father, who is 92 was in the 1948 and 1952 Olympics, he was on the One show last Tuesday.
I was not born when he was competing, but perhaps some members are old enough to remember those games

Yes, I saw him being interviewed, as bright as a button he is too. What an amazing gent! I seem to remember him saying something about being frowned upon for wearing shorts, as opposed to long trousers, so that he could do the splits more easily!
