Photocard driving licence rip off

Just had a reminder from DVLA that my photo card driving licence needs photo renewing. Cost £20 (Once a photocard licence has been issued the photo has to be renewed every 10 years)
If it was in 6 months time when I am 70 it would be free. What a rip off. Ironically my licence is already away with DVLA for PCV (bus) entitlement renewal which is free, one would have thought it could have been done with that. No wonder they need to charge £20 with all the extra postage & paperwork they create.

Your paper licence runs out at 70 and you have to go photo!

Afraid most malts are a bit more than £20 these days - unless on good offer.
