It is with sadness that I report the death of Melvyn (Merv) Unwin of Swaversey near Cambridge. Although 'Merv' was not a GRA member he was a regular attender at out annual Cambridge Classic & Vintage Bike Day & also came out on our ride outs. He was an member of the Anglian Section VMCC never missing a ride out on his Triumphs a T100 or 21.
He was tragically killed in the IoM on Saturday whilst on a ride out around the island with his fellow mates Dave Pink, Graham Waters & Roger Whiteley. Roger was also involved in the accident with a Land Rover but did not suffer serious injury. Melvyn who was 69 died at the scene. Our condolances to his family, and to Dave, Graham & Roger.
