    Found this pic on Flickr looks like an invalid carriage that pre dates an Invacar, apparently its a Harper Runabout made by A V Roe between 1921 & 1926

    I think there were a few similar devices built for the survivors of WW1, but they didn't sell too well. As you say, John, built by A.V. Roe, the aircraft (etc.) builder, while times were slack in that market.

      Tune it

      I think that Dave Harper of the Greeves Championship fame could do a Preston-cobb on this. Then watch out all you Invacar owners on the A12.

          No, no, not A12 - A127. DPC was king of the Southend Arterial!

            That would have made a wonderful clip for "The Interceptors" TV series...Reports of a strange device at speed on the A127 surrounded by a cloud of blue smoke!
