I have mentioned that thanks to the good offices of Andy and Stuart I was successful in registering my Greeves Hawkstone donor with an age-related registration number. Last week I sent the V5C with the engine number and capacity amended to reflect the change of engine. I enclosed an informal receipt showing that I had purchased said engine from a private seller but without mentioning that it was actually a Triumph. Today I've received the revised V5C. Despite what people have said in various online chats (not here) the whole process has been painless.
