Typically, the engine is off-set in the frame on most conversions. This aligns with the rear chain line and gives enough clearance on a 400x18 trials tyre.

I will post the off set drawing tomorrow. Its minus 8 outside and far too cold to venture to my workshop.

Here is the drawing that will hopefully answer your questions about spacers. In essence the engine is moved a quarter of an inch off centre. The view is looking down. You will need to work out the remaining spacers sizes as you go. Any further questions do not hesitate to get back to me.
