Triss Sharp took a Gold Medal of course, as did brother Bryan. Bryan Sharp was in the Vase Team which dropped out of contention on the first day when Sammy Miller sheared a cylinder sleeve bolt on his Greeves and had to retire.
(Not his fault, it was a duff batch of bolts and the problem also caused the retirement of two other contestants.)
Mervyn Edwards also gained a Gold Medal.
These were the only Golds for Greeves that year, although Greeves riders also won four Silvers.Colin Sparrow
