  • Rear shock absorber length

So I’m gradually going through my new purchase a 59 Scottish and wonder does anyone beer away from std length rear shock? If so what size and make please.

Speak with Norman Blakemore at NJB Shocks re going longer on the rear shocks. He can also match your weight to spring rates. For most riders going slightly longer on the rear is the way to go. It also quickens up the steering on tight sections. Good luck in your quest.

Thanks for the guidance and recommendation. Just ordered a set of 330mm classic trials shocks.

I fitted NJB shocks to the front and rear of my 1960 Scottish 30+ years ago.
        still good.
