  • Removing wheel bearings on an Anglian

How does one remove the front and rear wheel bearings on an Anglian? I don't see any circliip holding them but they don't want to drop out under the judicious smack from a hammer and drift. Before using a more persuasive blow from a hammer appropriate drift is there something I should know?

Don't remember any circlips, from memory they're an interference fit, just push the distance tube over one side and drift on the opposite inner race, you won't want to use them again...........I always warm the hub up with a hot air gun, especially the alloy hubs/sprocket carrier. (might be a circlip in the carrier?) They can be v tight if they've not been out for a few years.

Hi Follow Jeff's advice, but take care to see which way the washer comes out, they are there to support the spacer during assembly.
