On my Scottish there are two fixings which look like they should hold a tyre pump? (see photo) Ive never seen a picture of a bike with a pump attached, cannot find a pump that is only 10 inches long and even if I did the gap between the frame and mudguard is only about one inch - can someone enlighten me? Thanks

Roadsters too
The roadsters also have pump brackets for a 14" pump but there is not enough space under the seat to fit one even if you can find one the correct length. I think 'back in the day' there was a 14" pump manufactured (probably by Bluemels) for motorcycles, most roadsters of the time had a pump brackets.

TE/TES Pump Holder
Mark,
Attached find a photo of my Greeves with a pump. The pump is the diameter of a normal bicycle pump but shorter. The hose slides inside the handle just like a normal bicycle pump.
I found mine on an auction site advertised as a moped pump. It's black plastic with no makers name.
Hope this is some interest,
Peter.

Pump Dimensions
Mark,
My pump is 250 mm long (10 inches) when the pump handle and pump body are pushed hard together so the spring under the handle is fully compressed.
With the spring under the handle not compressed the pump length becomes 280 mm.
The distance from point to point on the frame lugs is 255 mm
Regards,
Peter.

After much searching - a pump that fits the TE (once some small detachable innards removed and put in toolbox to be carried on bike) and not an unreasonable price either! (probably fits other Greeves too)
