Please can anyone tell me which carb was originaly fitted to Anglians? A friend is rebuilding one and unsure. Many thanks,

The first TGS Anglian had an Amal Monobloc 376 (1 1/16") the later THS & TJS
had an Amal Concentric 626 (26mm)

Anglian carb

I had a lot of trouble with the Amal which was fitted to my Anglian when I bought it. I spoke to Louis at Villiers Services he supplied me with a new one set up as his and the bike started 2nd kick and has been good ever since. I recommend that you speak to him and get the extension for the screws and tickler.
