Does anyone know about the frame numbers used on the Pathfinder?
In particular mine is 62 B xxx does the 'B' mean anything?
I understand the records are lost.

    Cheers

    pathfinder frame numbers

    Hi Colin,
I have just joined the GRA,so have only just seen your post. If the letter designation follows the same as the 59 plates, A stands for standard flywheel model, B heavy flywheel model, and C stands for model with lighting coils fitted.
    Regards,

    Mike.

If only..... I have a B model with lighting coils.

      David.

P.S. Mike are you the person who emailed me twice recently about Pathfinder info? I replied with hopefully helpful information, but never got any reply from you. Did you get those emails?

        Hi David,

Same as mine, usefull info? gathered from the front of a parts catalogue of a model 59 originally from the USA(the catalogue that is).
Yes, that was me, got tied up doing other things so have only just done a search, not found anything yet but the info you supplied made things easier. I did find 3 cable manufacturers that could "make to pattern". I have not contacted any of them yet. I can give you their web addresses if you want them.

        Regards,
        Mike.

Thanks for that Mike and for the info posted elsewhere.
Info on the Pathfinder is pretty scarce so anything is always welcome.

                  Hi Colin,

Just a thought, if you have not got one get yourself a pathfinder parts list, it is very handy to see how things are assembled. I got mine off of ebay.

                  Regards,
                  Mike.

We have some information on Pathfinders. I hope to make copies of the parts books if there is a need. I think there is a master catalog that Nick used...I'll have a look the next time I rummage through the paperwork.

Unfortunately for us now but Frank Conley sold off all the Pathfinder parts some years ago. I just had some nice tank badges made up for them.
