  • 1960 125cc Greeves 24TCS/Puch hybrid Reg. No. OVE 2M (YVE 247) who bought it?

1960 125cc Greeves 24TCS/Puch hybrid Reg. No. OVE 2M, frame No. 60/1748, originally registered YVE 247 and despatched in 1960 to dealers Lee & Covill of Ely with the correct 250cc Villiers engine. In 1973 it was acquired by a Cambridgeshire owner as a rolling chassis with no engine, he fitted the 125 Puch engine from a road bike it was re-registered OVE 2M due to lost paperwork. Part of Dave Scotney's collection it was sold as a restoration project at Cheffins Auction 19/10/13 for £720 https://www.i-bidder.com/en-gb/aucti...b-a2e0014f72fe believed to have gone to a new owner in the Cambridge area. Have you bought it?

    Still not surfaced

Just over a year on this bike has still not surfaced, a clue from the actioneer after the sale, suggested it had gone to someone in South Cambs, but if so they have tucked it away in a shed & kept stom about it. Not even turned up on eBay

      Yve247 (ove2m)

Just bumped this one up again as I have recently heard from the original owner, Clem Birmingham living locally near Cambridge. he said he bought the bike new from Claude Scott, Cambridge. I had it supplied by Lee & Coville, maybe someone could confirm which dealer from dispatch records frame number 60/1748
This bike has still not surfaced since being sold from the late Dave Scotney's estate in Oct 2013 by Cheffins
DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE THIS BIKE IS.

Looks like it must have passed onto Claude Scott as Clem said he bought it from there. I think the two dealers worked together a bit.
