Along with the subframe itself, the leading part of Both mudguard subframe brackets on my 59 Scottish forks have cracked after about 12 hours of constant use on the road. The vibes have probably caused this but is there a solution other than cutting the remains off and brazing new brackets on?. I ask this as I intend to use the bike in long distance trials and don't want it fracturing miles from anywhere. has anyone fitted threaded bushes and bracket in place of the brazed-on brackets?
