  • Anglian front shock replacement

    Folks,
Going to get replacement NJB front shocks and have seen that , if fitting the Expert Trials ones (upside down) , the spring on the offside will interfere with the front brake torque arm!
Has anyone else fitted these to a similar machine (1966 Anglian TGS)?

    Thanks,

    David

    David ,

I fitted the scrambles ones because of the arse upwards issue , also used the original Girling springs ( chrome just don't look right ) .

I need to get hold of some units for newly-acquired mk2 bananas. Do NJB's MX ones overcome the problem identified by Rob on page 21 of Leading Link 169 (Feb 1013)?

Question's still relevant though. What about Hagons?

My upside down NJB's are OK, subject to the mod I outlined in Leading Link. David, do you have the early or later bottom loop as this makes a difference?

Hi Rob, My forks are the ones with the triangular upstands for the damper to fit in between, I think the 1966 version.

While we're at it, how long a unit do you need for mk2 bananas (i.e. the ones without the triangular upstand)? My guess is 13"-14", but it's hard to be certain when you don't have the originals.

Do you have a choice in stock, or are you going to purchase? Most of the retailers seem to know what is needed (Usually!)

Got to buy some Brian. I'll give Norman Blakemore a ring on Tuesday.

                            Stebbing tomorrow?
