TES Stand Spring and 'C' plate-how does it fit?

Hi all,

I purchased the spring and plate shown on the attached photo from Greeves Motorcycles. This is for the side stand spring on a 1964 24TES. No matter which way round I try them it does not seem right.
Are these the right parts and, if so, which way round are they supposed to go.
When the stand is down does the plate go at the top or the bottom and does it have the opening facing forward or back.

Any help appreciated.

Hi Peter ,

Those are the right parts , I was going to photograh the underside of my TES but it has started raing .

Will do it tomorrow and post them on the forum .
