  • Speedometers-1960 Scottish

Rear tyre 4.00 x18 1 revolution of rear wheel equals 2 turns of cable drive. Bike came with speedo S552-900. The speedo is siezed and the wheels unreadable but a good case. Is there a list showng if this is the correct one and any others that are suitable? Have been looking on ebay and all the D-shape on there seem to end in 1600 and most are ex Bantam.

    Update

As you can see I have had no replies to the above also no luck searching the web. While talking to other m/c enthusiasts I was offered a S531/L 1600 in working order at a fair price so have puchased it. If it proves to be incorrect in future I think I will easily sell it and get my money back.

      Pete.
I believe from a previous posting on this forum that Brian Thompson said he had a list of the speedo specs for the various Greeves & Invacar models which he could make available to GRA members. Suggest as you are a GRA member you send him a PM & no doubt he can email them to you.
