Two old codgers with a combined age of 150years at 16.58 on Mon 14 March started the engine of Scottish YLW111 for the first time for 41 plus years. The bike was thrown out in late 1969 by its then owner into an open yard and left to rot. It has an Anglian alloy head and barrel fitted and we have not been able to locate an exhaust pipe. Everybody contacted so far either does not stock or are out of stock. As a temporary measure we welded a nine inch length of scaffold pole to the old exhaust flange. When it started What a noise!!! Luckily the workshop we are using is a mile off the beaten track. Will post more news and photos later.

Well done! I was able to buy a new Anglian exhaust system complete from Greeves Motorcycles (of Chelmsford) a few years back.

    Check out their website: www.greevesmotorcyclesltd.com.

Then talk to your bank manager, low-volume items come with a high production cost!
