Hi All
Clutch lever doesn't fully return after engaged.... Was having some issues with the clutch fully disengaging so dismantled. I have a griffon clutch on an Albion MX4 gearbox..so effectively 2 x adjusters one at the clutch end and one on the rod operating mech at the opposite side. Noticed when I pulled the outer off, with cable still connected with the lever pulled on the ball bearing rod operating mech goes to the full extent of its rotation. However when the lever is released the mech only return about half way back leaving the cable slack at the lever end. Don't think it is a sticking cable (lubed to within an inch of its life) or lever but possibly the return spring on the mech may have lost strength.
should the mech return fully in this instance or does it rely on the clutch springs, via the push rod, to assist.
Anyone know if you can get replacement springs or possibly re-tempered the old one.
Regards Dug
