The rebuild of my 380cc Griffon has resumed after the Christmas festivities ....
When I took the head off there were 3/8" washers above and below the head stud nut spacers G 1245 - see photo.
The parts book shows no such washers associated with the head stud spacers G1245
On practise reassembly without washers the head stud leaves a fair bit of thread above the nut which looks a bit strange to my eye
(I'm a bit pernickety about such things)
On assembly with washers above and below the spacer G1245 the amount of thread protruding through the nut is reduced.
What do you guys do ?
- Live with protruding studs
- Make taller spacers
- Make shorter G 1246 studs
- Use washers
Or maybe I'm being a bit pedantic ....
Thank you
Martin
