  • Strange (to me) upper rear suspension unit mount

I'm stripping out the 25SA frame ready to have engine plates made by Phil, and discovered what seems strange top rear unit mounting. The right hand one is as I expect, in line with therear loop tube, but the left one is offset to the left. Is this normal? I assume the same frame loop was used for other models. I wonder whether the swinging arm is similarly asymmetrical? I've asked Gary if he has a drawing to check but he's going away so thought I'd ask here. I attach a photo....

No photo! They offset to the left to clear the chain run, Ian. Click image for larger version

Strange, I can see it complete with a good pictue of a virtually new MT43! I have seen a problem like this before as my photos are hosted on an http server not an https one and sometimes those images can't be seen on some forums. It's here: http://www.iansoady.org.uk/Greeves/i...ame%20loop.jpg

Yes, that's it, but it is definitely not showing at this end in your original post. I have the photos stored in my laptop as jpgs, which seem to attach ok.

Very odd! I've just looked at the thread on my Samsung android tablet, not logged-in and Ian's pic is displaying fine there too...

I suspect it's a browser issue and as I said my pics are hosted on my own web space which is only http not https. Some browsers won't show links from https to http as i understand it......
