My latest bike has just been picked up from Nashville, Tennessee. 380 twinport desert model which has the GPE4/*** motoplatt engine. This one has a Steffa crank as the original engine has damaged mounts. I will have the original engine however it will be put in the 380 Enduro which has the 250 engine in at present. There is also another Motoplatt bottom end with it so that will be used in the desert model. The GPE4 engine is only a few numbers away from one shown on Flickr

so the engine will be very close to what the original engine would have been, as long as it is repairable

It also has the correct GBA gearbox which has the wider gear ratio for a higher top speed.
