  • 1963 24MDS rear frame.

    Hi Chaps,
The left hand rear frame tube from the upper shock mounting down to the swingarm mounting on my MDS has quite an off set / dog leg in it. The right hand tube is straight and the swingarm mounting location on the affected left hand side all appears to be square so the question is are all 1963 MDS's like this?
I purchased the MDS last year so it came as it is.
    Regards Ken.

Yes, that is how it should be. TE/TES are the same. I think it is to clear the chain run.

      Thanks.

      Hi Ian,
Many thanks for your response you have put my mind at rest.
I had tried to get a view on youtube and I could see on a few clips that there was something but not too clear.
      Thanks & regards Ken.

Ken. I have a TE, a TES and an MCS Mk2, which is an MDS by a different name, and they are all the same in that respect.
