  • Hawkstone front brake

I have a 1958 Hawkstone 20SAS. My memory has failed me with regard to the stop spacer for the front brake stay (Torque Arm location-4 page 16 of Instruction & Service Handbook). I have no picture or drawing and the ally cotton reel that I thought was the component seems to be too large a diameter in the centre as well as being very wide compared to the stay itself) Could anyone provide dimensions for this and or pictures?
I had assumed the central slot would be a tight fit on the brake stay?
Thanks everyone-the bike is rapidly coming together in a functional manner.

    Hawkstone front brake

The brake anchor on the Hawkstone (1959) consists of a longer bolt on the clamping cups (brake side only) with a parallel spacer that matches up with the slot in the brake plate anchor arm. Sorry don't know how to do drawings on this forum! Hope this points you in the right direction...John.
