  • 20DC supplied to ICI

This 20DC now restored as a trials bike was sold by Matthewsons on 2/10/21 https://www.mathewsons.co.uk/auction...pp=48&pn=1&g=1 The bike frame number 20DC341Y was one of a batch supplied via Scott Wallace of Guisborough on 30/1/64. Apparently painted YELLOW hence the Y suffix to frame number. At some point it got restored as a trials bike with an earlier rear sub frame. It sold for £3100 believed to a museum in Blackpool area.

    Apparently the others were:
    20DC 334Y 251D 10072 16/01/1964
    20DC 405 251D 10481 11/12/1964
    20DC 406 251D 10465 11/12/1964

All despatched to Scott Wallace, Guisborough as “ICI Spec”

Looks as though only 334Y and 341Y were the only ones painted yellow.

This bike had been sold previously as a deceaseds part restored project by Matthewsons. It was sold to to Alan Richardson who restored in its current form, it was then put back in auction and sold to a private collector believed in the West of England. A complete bitzer.
