    Hi All
Advice please, just done my first run on my twin, only two or three miles, it went on to one cylinder and I had to push it home, only to find one plug had whiskered. What plugs are recommended? and also what mix is recommended, I run my 32A Scottish at 50-1without any problems, I think the previous owner of the twin had mixed up about 25-1 which I am hoping caused the whisker. and yes I will carry spare plug and a plug spanner on it's next shake down run!

    regards

Plug should be NGK BP6HS or equivalent. oil recommended by Villiers 20:1 but 25:1 is ok on mineral oil.
Wiskering is not uncommon especially if the engine is working hard, some time happens on my 4T on hill with throttle well open. Timing may be a bit too far advanced on the offending cylinder, worth checking that.
I should not worry too much about it, its always a good idea to always carry a plug spanner.
