I've just acquired a 1956 Greeves Roadster with a Villiers 9E, which was once used for road racing. It's fitted with a Piranha electronic ignition leading to an externally mounted conventional coil. The bike has stood for years, and was known to have been running. With a new battery, it is giving no spark. Neither coil terminal is marked for polarity, but both are giving a full 12 volt reading. Plug, plug cap, and HT lead have been tested. My thoughts are that the coil is faulty, but I would welcome any other suggestions. Thanks
