  • Clutch

At present my RES is fitted with the 'standard' Greeves clutch.
I've been looking at the Griffon clutch (5 spline) from TDS Classic M/Cs - http://www.tdsclassicmotorcycles.com...en-uk/d42.html
Has anyone used this particular item and if so what are their experiences?

Tried NEB. No answer. You can see why British Industry is like it is.
Can't be arsed to answer the phone or emails.
      About sums it up.
Looks like clutch slip all the way

I share your sentiments entirely. Sadly I can't offer you a solution. Griffon clutches come up on ebay from time to time and they are usually repairable.

Doesn't go for all suppliers though I have found some that are extremely, helpful, prompt and a delight to deal with.
Should any member have a surplus Griffon getting under their feet I am in the market.

NEB responded. Clutch on the way now.

That's good news. I'm going to be looking for one myself by year's end, it's good to hear they're available.

Craig at NEB says he does have the parts to build the 5 spine clutch. He won't be back at the factory for 2-3 weeks. However I'd get an order in sooner than later.
