  • Silverstone carb manifold

    There are two 3/8" thick phenolic spacers between the carb inlet flange and the cylinder. Mine are stuck together. Are they meant to be like that or are they mounted with one against the cylinder, then the remote float bowl bracket then the 2nd spacer, then the carb, with gaskets stacked on the mating surfaces?

    Hi Tony, yes they are either side of the remote float mount as you say. A lot of gaskets and Wellseal! Least ways that's the way we did it in the past.

      Cheers for that.
      Which is probably why I had to make a special socket to get to the nut that was all but inaccessible assembled as it was.

        Once assembled you can leave the carb and float attached when you remove the barrel, so it's no real hardship.
