I have another dumb question, but I can't find a mention it in previous threads. Does anyone know what material tubing Greeves used on the Silverstone subframes? I thought Reynolds 531, but I may be deluding myself.
I'm not planning any production, just the repair of some old frames. The local expert says he wants to mig weld them, which is a bad idea if it's 531. You're right, clearly the tubing available nowadays welds just fine.
