Advice wanted on 58 Hawkstone Special

Hi everyone my name is Rob and i've just bought what i have identified as a 1958 Hawkstone Special.

Its missing its original engine and the previous owner has started to fit a Starmaker motor I think...

Here is some pics, maybe some of you experts can tell me what other parts are missing?

You won't need those ear defenders for a day or two! I think you should fit an original type engine to a bike of that age. Looks a good project all the same.

Yes that is the plan, on the look out for a 9E motor if anyone has one lying around and would like to sell?

Rob,

If you are considering rebuilding the bike, the best thing you can do is join the GRA. The Club archives have factory photo's to show what the bike should look like as well as engineering drawings which help a lot when making missing bits.

The is also a first-class bi-monthly magazine and now is the start of the membership year!
