I'm sad to report that Preston Petty passed away last night. Most of you will have seen his name on his famous unbreakable mudguards that he spent quite a while perfecting over in the USA. He raced and did trials with Nick Nicholson and continued his racing up until about 4 years ago on the electric Zero machines. He helped in the development of these and his one major DNF came when a "one dollar" link broke in the twistgrip! His mudguards and other plastics are still in production via another company, but made now in Italy.
