RAL number for the Silver colour of the frame of a 24MX4

Hi everyone,

Does anyone know the correct RAL colour code for the frame of the 24MX4?

It's a silver colour but what's the paint number?

Hi John. I think you are now aware from replies on FB that RAL numbers did not apply back in the day, but you now have leads as to the correct colour, so hopefully you are sorted.

And for those not on Greeves restoration Facebook the answer is:

The MX4 silver frame was painted Ford Cortina Mk 2 SIlver Fox Metallic 1968-70 (apparently the Dagenham Ford car plant wasn't that far away).
