  • How old is your bike

    I have two questions which im shore have been covered before
    1 How old is the oldest known greeves in the Riders Association
    2 Also i have a 20t 1954 c15 engine fitted and a 1960 Scottish the 20t is a lot lighter than the Scottish which i would have thought would be lighter being newer and more modern the tubeing coud be thicker walled any ideas please

    The oldest known bike in the GRA is the 1952 prototype XP4A, the first bike with the Greeves alloy beam.

    There were a couple of earlier prototypes with steel downtubes, but both were broken up in 1952.

    Greeves started motorcycle production for sale in 1953.

    XP4A is owned by Dave Bradley who has carried out the outstanding restoration seen here.
