  • Couple of Greeves pics from the 1950's

    I found these two B&W pics on Flickr taken in the 1950's & posted by Colin Picket of Essex.
    The first looks like a trials converted 20D with Bantam tank, unfortunately the reg number is indistinct

    The second pic shows two 20D's reg No's XVW 762 & XPU 576 with a jolly looking group of Essex bikers, anyone recognise any of them?

    Another one, with what looks like a 20T (XPU 592 or 692) on the back of a Morris Commercial lorry in connection with a scramble at Hadleigh. Who is the bloke on the bike? Admision to scramble 1/6d

    I'd only be guessing at the rest but in the second shot I think 3rd from the left is Peter Vine. In the 3rd photo 2nd from the left is definitely Peter Vine and 4th is his brother Eric.

      And another pic of a Greeves rider, presumably from Hadleigh scramble. The car with sloping back is reckoned to be a 1940's Willys Coupe
