Does not work on pre 1960 or other vehicles that are MoT exempt. Also like the other VOSA Vehicle Check web page you need to put in the make as it is on the V5. ie it maybe mispelt GREAVES or be GREEVES 25DC

Well done John on finding this DVLA site, i have been thinking of changing my van and this will help in finding out the history of the vehicle, as we know there are those who do clock vehicles,!! so this can give a better reflection before we decide to purchase, be it car, van or bikes.

I have a car that is described differently on the V5 and the MOT certificate. It would not recognise the V5 description but did with the MOT. As it is the MOT you are looking up that is what it knows.

Just tried putting my harley on and it came back as not recognised. No mot and its been on sorn for a year.

What year is it? if its pre 1960 & MoT exempt it wont show? Also you have to put the make in exactly as it appears on V5c ie it may include the model number or HD name spelt wrongly.

Bought it new in 2005 on a 55 plate

Just re-entered with a dash between harley and davidson and it came up.
