Peter Smith RIP

Sad to pass on the news that Peter ("Toomba") Smith, well-respected Eastern Centre Greeves scrambles rider of the 1960's, has passed away. Peter was a close friend and trials and racing partner of the Late Dave Bickers. His nickname derives from the stock response Peter had when asked how he was ........... He'd "sooner be a-t'oom, bor!" Here they are, together in life ......

That is sad news John.

I remember when he first started, I could keep-up with him then! He went on to be a much better rider.

Anyone who would get into a sidecar with Dave Bickers driving is a hero in my book.
