  • Greeves diesel

Came across this company Greaves Cotton Ltd http://www.greavescotton.com/Busines...500Series.aspx On the net.
An Indian manufacturer of industrial diesel engines, apparently according to Mike Worthington-Williams Unearthed column in OBM this month they have been fitted to Indian made Royal Enfield's.
Bit of a strange coincidence that the name although spelt GREAVES is linked with Cotton. Maybe they had to change spelling of Greeves owing to it already being registered with a certain Mr Deal. But according to their web site they have been trading since 1859!!
Might make an interesting alternative to a Tri Greeves. How about one in your Anglian Rob, should give some good bottom end plonk, & you can throw that
    b****y Amal away

Good idea John, I'll nip next door and borrow a bit of red diesel from the tractor tank - ok for non-road trials.

Perhaps we could get Dick to test it - he'd blow it up even if it ran on lemonade!
