  • Greeves stolen

Message from Facebook S midlands Centre Trials Group, via John Eckhart.

am sorry to report that our long time club secretary Pete Hawes has had both his trials bikes stolen from his garage last night. I would be grateful if you hear or see anything you would let Pete know.
The two bikes were stolen from his garage in High Wycombe over the night of 1st October 2013.
    Bike details:
    1.
1967 250cc Greeves Anglian - silver with red tank.
    Engine No. 161FC780
    Frame No. 24THSA278
    2.
    1994 250 GasGas - red.
    Registration L 299 MJO
    Engine & Frame Nos. VTRGG099325931608

Pete is particularly attached to the Greeves as he bought it new and rode it for about 40 years before retiring and it is now ridden by his son.

    Great news!

Just had word that both bikes have been recovered undamaged. The owner is reported to be delighted and relieved.

Don't know if the perpetrators are undamaged - hope not!

      Greeves stolen

Glad they are back with the owner now, don"t know if they were police recovered or by other means, my recent dealings with the police in respect of my van being broken into was to say the least a waste of time, I was subject to more enquires about myself and vehicle than the low life who caused me grief Severing of the arms would fit the crime i think.
