Albert, as it will now be called (more succinct than 'my 3T-engined 1958 20TA replica of the works 1958 ISDT machine, reg. 2LHK, as built by Albert Glassbrook') has been on the move again, this time on his own; well, apart from with me, that is....
Having previously been twice to Spain, we first explored the dirt roads and mountain trails of the Tabernas Desert region of the Almeria province of Andalucia in Southern Spain. Last year we did the same in the Monegros Desert region of Aragon, in between times riding the Moidart Run, an old 1950's section of the Scottish Six Days Trial based in Kinlochleven near Fort William, in the lee of Ben Nevis in the Scottish Highlands. On each of these occasions we were accompanied by Gary Bamford on his 1965 TFS Trail, and Tony Weedon on his 1968 Ranger.
Albert likes Spain so much he has decided to take up 50% residence there, and is now exploring the tracks and trails in the Mojacar region of Almeria, unaccompanied, apart from by me, that is. I rather like it meself.
Attached are a couple of pics, showing riding in dried up river beds, coastal cliff-edge dirt tracks (with the odd oasis at the end
), then, inland in the mountains, a goat-herds farm.
Jolly nice. The 66 year old Greeves can still cut the mustard (whatever that means?
)
