Not even that! It is the 2-Day Twin Shock Classic trial, on yesterday and today, which precedes the SSDT. We are not staying for the SSDT.

Sounds like you met Mick Ransom rode Francis Barnet in the 1960, still has his bike, due to lead a local VMCC run I may do.

Yes, it was Mick Ransom. We met him at Strontian, on the Moidart peninsula, on Thursday. He said that in 1962 he came 3rd in the SSDT, behind Sammy Miller and 'one dab' Jackson!

If you do see him, you could mention his meeting with the 3 Greeves riders by the cafe there. You can tell him we diagnosed a failed condenser on my twin, which we were able to resolve.
