    Message from Dick Faggettor

    Hi John,

I am having trouble posting on the Forum ,cant open up
from my user gp, But have now solved the Telford 2016 show on Feb
20th/21st, there is a show for model train buffs but this is on the 1st
floor only, and this will not effect the off road show and it will use
    all the halls as usual.

Please could you post this as there was some confusion on the Forum but
i have been phoned by Dave Bradley who spoke to the Telford
International Exhibition centre early this Morning .

    Cheers Dicky Faggetter

As long as the train show doesn't have buses and lorries!

If so, Dick will spend the weekend and all his money up there. That's why he takes his van to Kiddlington when our committee meeting shares the building with a toy fair! I'm sure Mike sets the date deliberately!!

For info, I've put a plug for the show and our stand on the website (if anybody ever goes there!)

                  Cheers,

Here you go Rob....this might give people who haven't attended before an idea of what a cracking event it is....

                        Hi mate,

I've checked the link and it works OK on my computer....

It's one of my albums (see here, bottom of page;http://www.greeves-riders.org.uk/forums/album.php?u=5), uploaded to the forum ages ago....maybe someone else could check it for us....?

                        Brian.

Well, the 2016 Classic Dirt Bike Show at Telford went well. The GRA had a decent-sized and well-positioned space in Hall 3 and a cracking display of eleven Greeves off-road comp bikes.

Plenty of interest from the show public and lots of visits from old friends. And to one or two of you, yes I do have trouble putting names to faces these days, so apologies if that was at all apparent. Many thanks to members who came along to say hello and to encourage and support.

We had Greeves celebrity interest. Bryan Goss brought along a stonking 24MDS on which he recalled beating Arthur Lampkin on back in the day. Badger is looking forward to talking to us at the annual gathering at Kidlington in April. He was rehearsing some of his stories to me - sounds like it could be a laugh!

Bryan Wade and Mike Jackson spent some time with us. Wadey was telling us about his autobiography which is coming out in August (details will be in Leading Link). He had a proof copy with him (wouldn't sell it to me though!), and it looks good.

Just one picture for now; more later perhaps.
