A date for your diaries, especially for the scramblers (?) .......... Ipswich MCC are organising a walk round the old Shrubland Park circuit on 16 August to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the last National meeting held at the venue. Gates open at 11am.

Hi John, many thanks for the information re the Shrubland park circuit. Rumours were in existence but nothing formally announced until now, good to know of a date and time.
Do we need to bring flippers and snorkel for Hillsides(the bombhole)!

I did hear that there is a new owner at Shrubland who is thinking of reinstating parts of the circuit. Perhaps we'll hear a bit more on 16/08.

Gates open at 11am, Colin, unless you're bringing a bike to exhibit, in which case you'll be welcome to arrive shortly after 10am.
As for resurrecting the old course, we live in hope! They'll have a job to re-instate the infamous Hillsides section!
