Beamish Trophy Trial 2011

I see that a 1968 Greeves ridden by D Blakemore won the Pops Hinde Trophy (Best Performance by an entrant aged 65 or over) at last years Beamish Trophy Trial. The trial covers just over 100 miles of Northern Dales in Cumbria, Durham & Northumberland and has a number of testing off-road sections (see http://www.beamishtt.com/).

I wonder if there is an event for vintage enduro like this in the USA? Looks like great fun.

As an ISDT fan, I am constantly looking for someone to organise an event for old ISDT bikes and rides. (I live in Greater London, not much scope here!) But when I look at the foreign sites, they have magnificent events for mainly 60s and 70's bikes in France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. See the entries under the ISDT threads. Some of the riders are riding fully competitive, but others seem to be out for the pleasure rather than the glory! Windsor Gt Park would be great for a Special Test....might have to wait until Wills gets the job!
