  • Cambridge Centaur trial at Flint Cross in 1960's

8mm colour footage of a motorcycle trial from around 1960

This is the Cambridge Centaur Trial starting from Flint Cross Cafe on the A505 / B1368 junction near Royston. (not the Weller Cup Trial on the A10 at Puckeridge as stated in the comments) Lots of Greeves. The first sections shown look like Duxford Sand Pits & the last possibly Chrishall pond. Among the riders are Mary Driver, Greeves TES (HWC 24), and the last rider here with a white pudding basin helmet & fag in his mouth looks like local Cambridge Matchless clubman, the late Roy Mallows on has Matchless. In the crowd at the beginning Ossie Neal (with bobble hat near cafe) & Tom Neech (with trench coat & cloth cap) a Centaur Club committee member signing on as observer!) can be seen.

Megasuggs is a member on here John. If he reads this I'm sure he can decide for himself if he wants to retitle his YouTube clip. Or you could always send him a PM...
