You need to research a grade of stainless suitable for machining. It needs free cutting qualities. Finding someone with a big enough LAthe should be quite easy

Just a thought why use stainless when Aluminium would be much easier to source and machine and as it is lighter will definitely make you go faster! can be polished as well!!

can we keep quiet about using old bent handlebars for making spacers ,as people will realise this and not throw them out in the scrap for people like me to collect, i might have to start buying things , will.
