  • TFS Chain guard DIY

I know you just need to get a pair of snips and away you go. However 1 sheet of alloy cut out to the rough shape and the right angle bend pressed worked out at £4.00 each (15 from a sheet @£40.00 + £20.00 to cut and bend. I will have quite a few spare ones if anyone wants them to finish themselves. I will sell them for £5.00 in kit form - no I won't post, have to be at a show or meeting and GRA members only.

Well done Tony, I am sure you will have no trouble with moving these at all, they do mangle well if the chain has a go at them! you will need to put a post on to say what shows you will be at in due course,

      Completed chain guard

Just finished my first chain guard, cut it out on a friends foot operated notching machine, quite quick.
Hand file round the edge to finish the shape and a second fold with the broom handle.

Good job! I expect this chainguard will be OK for the Ranger too, so I'll have one next time I see you.

        Cheers,
        Andrew
