I am running a Starmaker trials engine in a 20DC roadster. Any tips on improving the carb.? (original Villiers S25/6 fitted)

As long as the carb is not worn, see Nametab for spares, do not do anything! I trialled a Cheetah for about 6-7 years and the carb is brilliant ,much better than any old monkey metal Amal. If you are fussy I have seen people add a throttle stop screw to stop the engine speed changing in tight turns, but I always used a reasonably long cable and never had any problems with it

I go along with what Stormer 254 has said. If you can get hold of a S25/11 carb body (as fitted to 4T/SK & 4T/SRK Siba Dynastart engines used in Bond Minicar) these have a throttle stop screw already fitted.
