4T engine sprocket nut.

Is the thread the same as 2t ? I have a 4t without its nut, I have tried one from my 2t,which is not inclined to engage,I have checked condition of both crankshaft and nut,both appear in good order. Is it possible for these similar items could have different thread pitches? Many thanks for any opinions Les,

As far as I know they are the same nut & thread. The part No for the 4T nut is E 3931.

Thanks John for information,I was then able to cross check numbers were the same. A quick tidy up of threads with a thread file solved the problem. Thanks again. Les.
